The Dominican Republic

One of the oldest European settlements in Central America is the nation of the Dominican Republic. The Dominican Republic was claimed in 1492 by Christopher Columbus for Spain.
Located in between the North Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, it gets beautiful weather year round. The temperature never deviates too much from its year round average of 77 degrees Fahrenheit (25 degrees Celsius).
The passing of the seasons in the Dominican Republic have very little to do with temperature but everything to do with rainfall. The summer months are from May to October. The rainfall is heavy and the humidity is high.
