I first smoked weed when I was 16. I’ve smoked consistently for about 2 years straight, and the first year of my smoking was about 3-4 times a month and I’m 19 now. I’ve also been drinking along with all of this, very heavily in college, and about every weekend before college in high school. I’ve also done shrooms like 4-5 times, cocaine once, and E like 7 times. I now have stopped everything and I am staying completely sober for an entire year. The last year of my smoking, I was smoking on extremely good weed, so this has probably added a lot on top of all of this. Even though I have stopped and have been sober for about 2 months + a week, I still am completely into the fucked up world. Anyone who has smoked weed for a long period of time knows what I mean. It’s like your in your own world and nature looks actually breathtaking all the time, and it takes a little bit more concentration to understand what someone is telling you, especially if it’s like a long sentence or something. When you’re driving, the trees around you looks amazing and the cars look like little model cars just putting along. Also, for some reason, it’s really easy to tell people that haven’t ever smoked a lot before because they seem like automated robots walking around in the world. Really hard to explain, but yeah that’s the best I can do. My brain has been a little bit clearer, but all of these lingering thoughts and feelings haven’t left at all. It’s kinda cool and amusing sometimes, but I really wish it would all just go away and I could feel normal again. Does anyone have any experiences like mine? If so, explain. Thanks!

Your brain cells are deteriorating from extensive drug use!!!!

Hello, I am experiencing some issues with a Meade Polaris model DS-114 with the computer controlled star tracking system.
I bought this telescope used and during the day I was able to look at very distant objects in great clarity. It has since become night time and I am unable to view anything through the eyepiece – even when I have it sighted perfectly with the spotting scope.
I am new to telescopes and am wondering if maybe it has something to do with the fact that I have no battery pack for the control system.

I am not intending to use the automated system at this time, but rather just trying to check a few stars and the moon out. If anyone has any insight into why I am not able to make out objects at night, please help me out.

Thankyou for Your time.

first of all, all of the following assumes that you have normal night vision and that if you wear corrective eyeglasses, you are able to see stars in the sky without a telescope.

If you can see terrestrial views with the telescope during the daylight, it will work at night as well.

1) Make sure there are no lense covers or tube caps on. You should be able to look in the open end of the scope and see the mirror at the other end.
2) Take the eyepiece out of the eyepiece holder so that you can look into the tube and see the secondary mirror (the little one right below the eyepiece.
3) Aim the telescope at a porch light or street light using your guide scope (the little telescope mounted near the eyepiece)
4) Once you have a light centered in the guide scope, look into the eyepiece hole. you should be able to see the light. It will be unfocused, just a brightness in the eyepiece hole. If you can’t see anything, look through the eyepiece hole and slowly wiggle the telescope until you DO see light. Your small guide telescope may be misaligned and need to be adjusted.
5) Take your LOWEST power eyepiece (the one with the BIGGEST number on it, for example 23mm) and hold it up to the light, looking through it to make sure that light can actually pass through the eyepiece. If you can’t see through the eyepiece by itself, it may have been bumped or dropped and you may have one of the glass elements out of alignment. Try another eyepiece.
6) put the eyepiece into the eyepiece holder and see if you can see light coming through it. If so, focus the eyepiece so that you can see the porch or street light your telescope is aimed at. If you’ve done 1 through 5, you should be able to see the street light in focus.
If 1-6 are done and you can see the streetlight, you should be able to see stars.

Try aiming your telescope at Jupiter (the bright star in the south in the evening just after twilight ends. Use the guide scope to center the planet in your larger scope. Using the lowest power eyepiece, focus on Jupiter. If you can’t see anything in the eyepiece, your guide scope may be still out of alignment. Move the telescope tube slowly in small circles until you catch a glimpse of Jupiter in your eyepiece, then focus on Jupiter. Once that is done, center Jupiter in the middle of the field of view and put in your next higher power eyepiece (if you have more than one). If Jupiter is immediately visible, focus the eyepiece, center the image, then try with any higher power eyepieces that you have. If you have a barlow lense, which doubles or triples the "power" of your telescope, do not use it until you’ve tested all the eyepieces.

I hope something here works for you.

Good luck.

THANKS!!!!

Use ONLY clumping litter with Littermaids. Any brand will do.

Personally, I hate those things. I have a Cat Genie (see link below). NO mess, NO bother, great smell, no scooping! It may be a bit pricey, but if you can, it’s well worth it. If you consider purchasing one, email me, and I can give you a "promo code" which will save you 10% on the price.

Guillermo’s Furniture Store Scenario

While many people know that Sonora, Mexico is a beautiful vacation spot, it is also a large furniture manufacturing location in North America. Guillermo Navallez made furniture for years near his Sonoran home. The area had a good supply of timber for the variety of tables and chairs produced by his company. Labor was also relatively inexpensive. In addition, he priced his handcrafted products at a slight premium for the quality they represented. Overall, life was good for Guillermo.

All of that was true until late in the 1990s when two forces combined to cause a large dent in his business. First, a new competitor from overseas entered the furniture market. Using a high-tech approach, this foreign competition provided furniture to exact specifications and did so with rock-bottom prices. Second, the sleepy communities in Sonora woke up. One of the largest retailers in the nation’s headquarters was just a few miles down the road, and its influence had expanded considerably. With inexpensive housing, mild weather, beautiful scenery, un-congested roads, a new International Airport, and plenty of development, an influx of people and jobs raised the cost of labor substantially. Guillermo watched his profit margins shrink as prices fell and costs rose.

After doing some research on his competition to see how they are handling these changes, it is clear that many of them are consolidating into larger organizations by merger or acquisition. Being independent, Guillermo does not relish the idea of being acquired by a larger competitor and then retired as the new company squeezes every peso it could out of the overhead costs. Guillermo also is not looking to expand his management responsibilities by acquiring another organization either; that could affect his time with his family in ways that he will not enjoy.

Guillermo then spent some time looking at the foreign competition and their high-tech solution. Essentially, their production utilizes a computer controlled laser lathe to produce exact cuts in the wood. Highly automated, the plant in Norway uses very little labor as robots even perform the precise movement and assembly functions. The cost of the technology is immense, as is the reduction in the labor needed for production. In addition, the production can move between products quickly, and it runs on a 24-hour basis, as the shift-differentials are more than offset by the reduction in labor. Converting his production to this model would be expensive, but he saw how he could also decrease dramatically his production costs.

When talking to some of his distributors about their wants, he had another idea that appealed to him. A second competitor, currently operating only in Norway, has been looking for channels to distribute in North America. This second potential rival, however, did not operate furniture outlets favoring instead to rely on chain distributors. Perhaps Guillermo could coordinate his existing distributor network and essentially become a representative for this other manufacturer. While he may retain some of the high end custom work, he could move his company from primarily manufacturing to primarily distribution.

Guillermo also has a patented process for creating a coating for his furniture. In producing this product, the process first creates a common flame-retardant, and upon further processing, the coating is complete and stain resistant. There is market for the flame retardant, but not as much of a market for the finished coating. There is another product that Guillermo could buy to apply to his furniture as well that would add the same amount of value for the furniture.
# Read the Guillermo’s Furniture Store Scenario.
# Write no more than a 700-word paper explaining the finance concepts found in the readings and how they relate to the context of the scenario.

Is this story for a book, I got bored reding it.

phone. My husband has memory problems and I want him to be able to answer the phone, but if it is one of those automated appt reminders then he has difficulty taking the message, I would like a machine that would allow him to push a button and it would record the live conversation. My own answering machine does not do this and the ones I have tried to read the manuals on in the stores it seems the record button is for recording a greeting.. Does anyone have a model or know how I can accomplish this? thank you
I am talking about a landline not a cell phone, have no bars here

radio shack offers a in link that you can attach to the home phone then plug in to a voice activated recorder.. it will then record everything that is said on the phone when it is off the hook.

I’ve been having this problem with my T-Mobile phone for about three weeks now, and I’ve never had a problem before. But about once a day, my phone has periods of time where it can’t send/receive text messages from anybody. And sometimes, it also won’t let me send/receive calls.

When I send a text message, my phone (Nokia 5300 Xpress Music) comes back with this error message: "Message sending failed. Check details." And sometimes when I try to make phone calls, an automated voice says I can’t make the call because "a limit has been reached."

The customer service people said it was probably because my parents put a limit on the phone, but my parents didn’t. My mom called T-Mobile, so they sent me a new phone (same model). I still have the same SIM card, battery, and memory card. And I’m still having the same problems.

Is there anyway to fix this issue with my phone, besides switching companies?
I have an unlimited text messaging plan, and 700 minutes a month– but I checked and I had not called over my minutes.

I am having the same exact issues with my Sidekick 2008. We just signed up for our account this past weekend and the first day everything was great. We had total signal coverage in our home (when before with Verizon we were lucky to get 1 bar) and we had no problem sending or receiving texts or picture mail. Then from the next day on we have had issues with texting. We get an "Unable to send message. Please try again later." error. At first it was only when we tried texting each others new T-Mobile phone. Sending messages to others on different networks was no problem. Then shortly after it was to everyone. It’s weird. MSN, AIM and Yahoo! IM programs all work fine and the signal coverage is still good at 3 bars as compared to 5 on the first day so I really cannot complain too much about that.

I am going to call them on my lunch break and if I find out any info I will let you know. Good thing I have 14 days to try it out, because if this is a known issue that keeps happening I can leave with no penalty.

**UPDATE**
I just got off the phone with T-Mobile and apparently this is a pretty common issue they are having. Since the release of the Sidekick 2008, they had to tweak and modify their already existing Data Plans they offer to incorporate the new device. Apparently somewhere they messed up and caused a glitch which caused texting issues with the Sidekick as well as other phones. After a short hold time he went in to my account and made the appropriate changes to fix the error and now I can text again.

Give them a call again and see if they can help. Chances are you probably got a lazy CSR last time who didn’t want to do the research and fix the issue. Sadly they are more common than the issues we come across on a day to day basis. That is the main reason I am no longer with Verizon.

Hope that helps bud.

I contacted Dell via email, nothing’s back except automated email. I called Dell several times, but never had a single chance talking with them. The line was disconnected while I was waiting. What should I do then?

The keyboard model is L100; ext no. U011
Well, I kept calling. I was transfered by four customer services during 30 minutes waiting period. Then I talked for two minutes for the replacement.

Now I got the keyboard replacement in the next day. That was fast.

buy a new one. You can buy them proper cheap… but Dell should really replace it, I’d keep trying to phone them…

1) The demand for circus tickets can be modeled as D(p)=-8p+82 hundred tickets where p is the price(in dollars) of a ticket. According to the model, what amount are consumers willing and able to spend purchase 7500 tickets?

2)Cash Machines. The number of minutes between arrivals of customers at an automated teller machine is exponentially distributed with a mean of 9 minutes. If a customer’s transactions take 9 minutes, what is the proability that the next arrival will have to wait?

3.) For the 2002 fiscal year, Lowe’s Companies, Inc., reported an annual net income of $1.023 billion. Assume the income can be reinvested continuously at an annual rate of return of 6.9% compounded continuously. also assume that Lowe"s will maintain this annual net income for the next 8 years. what is th future value of its 8 year net income? Round your answer to three decimal places.

would u please show the answer step by step…i want to know the way to do that. thx so much!

What the heck is "business calculus"? Is that where people do your homework problems for free?!!! What about a job for an unemployed mathematician here, hmm, mr. Big Business man!

1) D(p) = -8p + 82 is a (fictitious) demand function (in real life it is trickier to figure out the demand function.) for blocks of 100 tickets.

The model says the demand at price p is given by D(p), and it is asking you what price will result in D(p) = 75 blocks of 100 tickets.

So what you do is solve 75 = -8p + 82 by algebra. (This problem does not require derivatives or integration.)

75 = -8p + 82
-7 = -8p
p = -7/-8 = 0.875

It looks to me like your answer is $87.50. Look reasonable?
