Marshmallow is a 16month old male cat, GUCCI is a 11month old female.

Marshmallow has recently been meowing in funny voices about the house and urinating in places where GUCCI usually rests, when GUCCI is brought to Marshmallow’s room he just cant stop sniffing at her back but I’m quite sure they haven’t mated.

But, one thing noticed is that Marshmallow never sprays/urinates in and around his room excepting his litter box. But what I did notice is that Marshmallow on a pile of clothes was jumping his hind legs up and when I caught him doing that I saw an erection in his penis.

GUCCI is a very loving doll since the day I got her, she snuggles with me in the bed, follows me wherever I go, never begs me treats, licks me on my nose and purrs like hell so I really cant say if she is in heat. Though I have recently been noting that she is running up and down making a growling noise and later rolling on the floor. Since she is a Persian I have been noticing her since 8 months she has a dangling stomach but I dont think so she is pregnant because her nipples are not that pink and protuding.

As soon as she becomes 12 months old, I am going to make a fish cake for GUCCI and later decorate a room for her and put Marshmallow in it for the night. And until I see signs of her being pregnant I will continue keeping her and Marshmallow inside the room during nights.

I have already designed a queen box for her, to nurse her kittens but I just want to know if all of this requires doctors concern. My friend tells me that everything is natural just check her up once with the doctor but dont let him come when she is delivering as it is all natural and automated. If you call the docotor for no work of his he’ll simply demand a kitten.

Please do suggest your views !

1) Are they both ready to mate ?
2) Anyway I can come to know she is in heat ?
3) Involving the doctor is needed ?
4) Her stomach is dangling, will that make a difference to the number of kittens she’ll produce ?

But here is one suggestion from my side, you maybe a top contributor but you dont have the decency and politeness to talk. YOU are very rude. I do agree with what you say and so will other people but you could tell it all in a polite way.

And yeah, I am not in a "HURRY" to be breed them, the male is getting desperate and they love each other so much that I cannot leave them separately, excepting at night.

What registry are they registered with as from the snapshot they don’t appear to be of show/breeding quality under any breed standard.( and they do vary around the world)
Have you had the required health tests done ? PKD, Blood typing & BAER for starters?
You wouldn’t want to breed a litter that dies at 12 hours old or were deaf or died from kidney failure would you?
Persians do often need veterinary intervention for kittening.
My advice is neuter your male. Start showing your female and take guidance form people more experienced so she can be mated to a suitable champion male (if she passes health clearances and is deemed suitable) when she has been assessed and has all the required clearances.
Have you checked the inbreeding coefficient on the prospective litter’s pedigree?

You’ve already got a very nice fish load in your 55g tank. I would personally leave it the way it is. A fantastic way to change the appearance of your tank by adding more livestock is adding invertebrates. Depending upon how mature your tank is, you can add a Linckia Multiflora (starfish), or a Fromia Monilis (different starfish). Sea cucumbers are another way to add diversity to your tank. There are many varieties of urchins you can add too (Tuxedo, Pencil, Spiny, Heart, are just a few interesting urchins). Coco worms and feather dusters are great colorful filter feeders. Again, if your tank has been running nine months to a year, or longer, you might want to check out a clam. A Tridacna Maxima or Tridacna Crocea are two clams that would do well in an established tank with the appropriate T5 lighting.

Basically what I’m trying to explain here is that there are many different ways to add life to your tank without that life being fish. When I have people visit my home, the first thing they say about my tank is, ‘wow’, what colorful fish. Then within about two minutes they almost don’t notice the fish anymore and start looking at all the other critters in the tank. Everything else is alive and they truly notice it.

So yeeah, I’m looking to lose some weight. I’m not that heavy or anything, just a bit more than I want. But I really know nothing about diets, so I call upon the people of Yahoo Answers!

Here’s the thing though: I’m 14. I’d really prefer not to screw over my developing body, so that means no crazy crash diets or anything, and probably it just helps you to know my age anyways.

So yeah, I don’t see any glaring flaws in my intake. I usually have Post Shredded Wheat for breakfast, no sugar/topping or anything. That’s not even a new thing I put in to lose weight, I just like the taste of it anyway compared to like Trix and whatnot which is kind of disgusting. I think we have 2% fat milk at my house usually… anyway. I only drink water, besides milk for breakfast, which is something relatively new I’ve been doing: past couple of months or so. I used to drink a lot of juice, but I never really liked soda. I was able to give up the juice pretty easily though, so pretty much all I drink is water.

For lunch I typically have a sandwich. Me pops gets pretty nice meat from the deli, so that’s probably not a problem- turkey, pastrami, ham and swiss/provolone, etc. And then I usually have some fruit- some slices of apple, peach, banana, etc. I don’t really have snacks in-between meals, except occasionally a banana or other fruit, so I also doubt that’s a problem. I stopped eating crackers, cookies, that sort of snack thing. I was on Triscuits for a while, which were good, but I haven’t been having as many recently. I dunno if that’s a good or bad thing- I think they’re somewhat healthy, but probably beat out by fruit.

For dinner my mom usually cooks, as she’s a pretty good cook. This varies a lot- chicken, pasta, fish, meat, soup, etc. I can’t really give many specifics, because it is pretty random. Overall nothing that’s incredibly unhealthy though, we have fried stuff once a blue moon, and fast food every few years at most. We typically have fresh bread (IE not package bread, baguettes and whatnot), and cheese on the table as well. (Cheese as in large blocks, not slices). I usually have a slice or two of bread- I cut out on putting butter on it though, just have it plain, so that probably helps a lot. And I usually have a couple slices of cheese. Maybe I should cut down on that.

That usually lasts me until I decide to sleep, except for maybe a banana or something if I’m pretty hungry. Bananas are very convenient.

As something to note, every Friday we order pizza. I imagine this is pretty unhealthy. Not much I can do about this though, except maybe have some fruit beforehand and just have a few less slices. I usually have 4, I could easily cut it down to 3, maybe 2 if I had something beforehand.

As far as exercise goes, I lift weights in our basement every other day. I lift 35 pounds 10 times in 5 positions, so 50.. lifts I guess. I have no idea what the positions are called. But basically, 10 arm curls standing, 10 reverse arm curls (correct term?) standing, 10 lifting it over my head from sitting, 10 lifting it behind my head over my head from sitting, and 10 bench press (right term?). I do it every other day because apparently it’s not good to do it every day. So if you could give me some exercises to do on off days that would help. Maybe leg exercises? Or something. I’d prefer them to be indoor. It’d just make it a lot easier for me, I’d rather not make this into a big thing and get my parents involved. So yeah. I could do crunches or something. I also have a trampoline: maybe I could jump for a good half hour or something every day.

I also go swimming fairly often for a good 45 minutes doing laps. I’d say every other day to every third day I go. (1/2 to 1/3 of the time…days). So that’s good. Maybe I could make it everyday.

I guess that covers it. I do like video games, so I’d imagine the problem is more lack of exercise than dietary stuff. But still, any healthy eating tips ya got are appreciated.

But mainly I’m looking for some good indoor exercise solutions! I much prefer to work hard for half an hour to pacing myself for two hours though, so if you have anything like that, it’d be great. I’m more looking to lose fat than build muscle, but I guess that’s good too… still a second priority though. I can work on a six-pack later, now I just want to lose some weight!

I have released over 85 pounds without exercising. I’m not saying it’s not important, what I’m saying is food control is 90% of the losing game.

But many seem to be programmed into putting "eggs" on a shopping list, and of course just buy hens eggs.

I have a resident duck, who produces many fine eggs, which are appreciated, and the kids have taken to a soft-boiled one, or a duck ommelette etc.

On my travels, I have had turtle eggs, goose eggs, fish eggs, and some odd ones that may of been snake or reptilian.

But no.
We are stuck with supermarket hens jobbies, as they are the only ones that sell, and a huge industry as providers.
Fed on stuff that turns the yolk bright yellow.

Have you sourced and tried different eggs ?
Like meat, the flavours are totally different, and often better, depending on the critter that produced them.

Chicken eggs are the least expensive eggs to produce in quantity.
The fast rate at which the chickens grow and begin to produce eggs also helps. The fact that we eat a lot of chicken helps in the fact that the males can be raised for food and the females raised for eggs.
Since most people do not raise their own poultry for meat or eggs leaves us purchasing what is most widely available.
Also for some reason there is a "mystique" about brown eggs, since they are not widely available and if they are available some people think they are healthier. They are no healthier than white eggs. They just come from a different breed of chicken. The reason they are not as available is they are harder to candle and some people think they appear dirtier than white eggs.
