Is yahoo answers biased and automatic with thier deleting of answers?

It happened again. I had 4 answers deleted again last night. This is ridiculous. I understand that if I cuss or if I put abbreviations to cussing that a question can be deleted. I do not do that. Here, look at this…."Question: Which is the most important and happy day for a true Christian (JW)?

Why would that be deleted? It was a legit answer to a question. I email Y/A and ask why and all I get are automated crap responses. That is just one of the 4 I received last night alone. It seems that Y/A is automatically deleting questions based on other people that do not like it when I disagree with them. It almost seems like I am in high school again and questions and answers are a popularity contest. So my question is…Is Y/A biased?

they just delete some answers… and some questions… I guess… though they will keep some for sure…

nah i think it was more you were disrespecting others by saying because they didn’t believe the way you did they were either brainwashed or in a cult. most ppl don’t like it when you accuse them of something they don’t feel guilty of. why not just let them believe whatever they want and you believe what you want..its called religious freedom

it’s just a matter of belief, I think it’s very logical in fact, but we can only understand so much, because it is beyond our comprehension, same as the question (why do we grow old and how can we stop it)

The asker probably reported you for your last sentence in your answer & Yahoo bought it. Go to "Appeal a Violation Notice" in Forum. Its worth a shot.

I recommend using the Wrongful Violations board and explain the situation calmly. However, insulting another Y/A member is against guidelines, so it’s unlikely that you will get this violation revoked. But we can’t tell you for sure.

If you feel a question or answer did not violate one of the 20 reasons listed in the Y/A guidelines (http://answers.yahoo.com/info/community_guidelines.php ) and thus did not deserve to be deleted, then post a message to the Wrongful Violations board at http://messages.answers.yahoo.com/answers/forumview?bn=SEA-ViolationsNotice . Explain why your Q or A did not violate guidelines or just ask them to state why your Q or A was removed. NOTE: It may take weeks to get a response, but they usually respond in 48 hours. Then again, a response isn’t guaranteed.

Courtesy helps prevent violation notices. It’s not about free speech, it’s about the rules of the service that you’ve agreed to when creating your Yahoo account and using Y/A.

I think if 2 people protest to a question it gets bumped…I just ogt a question bumped on why they wont allow a posting foe silentlambs.org..
This morning I got a violation notiice…..Freedom of speech and bla bla bla..at least we know that we are making someone uncomfortable.
