How to make password reset disc and automated system recovery disc on a laptop as it has no floppy disc drive?
Laptops have no place or inserting floppy disc. But to make password reset disc and automated system recovery disc (Windows xp features) we need to insert floppy. Can we prepare it without using floppy disc(using CD or DVD)?
You will need to use a external USB floppy drive. You can have a computer store/shop do this, it should not be expensive, or maybe borrow one from a friend. You can also buy a USB floppy drive for $20.00 to $50.00 from most computer stores. You can order a system recovery disc from the maker of your computer, I always get one with any new computer/lap top that I purchase.
Hope this helps

Unfortunately, I see no way to force XP to use a USB key for this purpose. Your best bet is to invest in a USB floppy drive, $20 on NewEgg.
Good luck!
