I need a phone or answering machine/ device that can record a phone conversation after you have answered the ?

phone. My husband has memory problems and I want him to be able to answer the phone, but if it is one of those automated appt reminders then he has difficulty taking the message, I would like a machine that would allow him to push a button and it would record the live conversation. My own answering machine does not do this and the ones I have tried to read the manuals on in the stores it seems the record button is for recording a greeting.. Does anyone have a model or know how I can accomplish this? thank you
I am talking about a landline not a cell phone, have no bars here

radio shack offers a in link that you can attach to the home phone then plug in to a voice activated recorder.. it will then record everything that is said on the phone when it is off the hook.

I just got the venus cell phone from verizon and once you answer the call you can press record and it will record the conversation. It will save the conversations under the "sound" file. i do not know if that was what you were looking for..but its a great phone also!

There are actually legal implications related to recording telephone conversations.

In most states it is illegal to record a conversation without the knowledge and consent of every party involved. In some states you only need the consent of 1 party.

I’m not sure what the legal implications of recording an automated message would be, but I would be careful. It would probably require the consent of whoever is sending the message.

Research the laws in your area, because you don’t want to get arrested.
