Neck tattoos have different limitations

Until recent years, neck tattoos were taboo for both artists and body ink enthusiasts, but the huge growth in the number of people getting these tattoos has changed what is defined as socially acceptable in terms of body art. In years past, those with extensive tattooing would leave their necks as well as hands and feet unadorned, so that tattoos would be easy to cover with clothing. But those who don’t have to fit into conservative work or school dress codes have started getting neck tattoos, even though they used to be considered something which were only for tattoo extremists.

Neck tattoos designs have different limitations from tattoos on other body parts. They must be small and drawn clearly because necks don’t receive the kind of light hitting them as other body parts do. Some of the most common neck tattoo image designs are stars, hearts, anatomical details (blood dripping, etc.), humorous designs (like “cut here” with dotted lines encircling the neck) and flowers.
